Cypress Financial is seeking an Entrepreneurial Data Scientist for our newest business venture. The ideal candidate will have legal authorization to work in the US without sponsorship. This is an in office position and the candidate must be local to Ft Lauderdale.
DATA SCIENTIST ROLE:
Provide insight to executives, managers, and staff to support decision making and target achievement through the comprehensive analysis of data pertinent to lead acquisition, performance, and marketing functions within Cypress Financial.
DATA Scientist DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement effective scoring models to be used in decisioning across all aspects of the customer lifecycle; Identify business challenges and opportunities for improvement and solve for them using analysis to make strategic or tactical recommendations; Develop risk, product and marketing strategies using data-driven techniques to drive growth.
- The Data Scientist will participate in business analysis activities to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements.
- The Data Scientist will translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources.
- Risk: Design and develop advanced models to improve underwriting decisioning using different data sources for both new and existing customers;
- Product: Perform modeling and analytics to launch new product and pricing strategies for various products
- Marketing: Evaluate the marketing efficiency of different channels and customer experience treatment to understand the impact of sales/orders for new and existing customers
DATA SCIENTIST REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics or related field
- Excellent Power BI skills.
- Proficiently use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
- Strong conceptual knowledge and working experience on all features of Azure ML Studio, ML Services and ML Ops.
- Strong Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven efficiency using relevant tools for analyzing and reporting datasets (Excel, Access, Power BI, etc.)
- The Data Scientist candidate will have the ability to present findings in a visually compelling and articulate manner.
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated with confidence to independently pursue information and test ideas.
- The Senior Data Analyst has the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once, delivering within deadlines.
- Creative thinker, actively seeking new ways to improve processes.
- Ability to work well within a team, with the openness to ask questions and share knowledge with others.
- Proven experience working with large data sets to develop complex analytical models.
DATA SCIENTIST SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Business Intelligence design.
- Working with Windows operating systems.
- Extensive knowledge with SQL databases.
- Knowledge of .NET, CSS a plus.
- Working with R programming a plus.
