Job Description

Our client are a multi-disciplinary consultancy operating across the Energy market in the UK. As part of their growth, we are now looking for a Energy Data Scientist to join their team in London/Edinburgh.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead the development of new data science forecasts for short-term energy markets (starting in GB and expanding across Europe).
• Enhance and improve the existing forecasting suite.
• Collaborate directly with clients to understand their key challenges.
• Work with traders of varying technical expertise to gather requirements and align solutions with business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Strong Python proficiency required.
• Experience with a range of ML models (e.g., TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
• 4+ years of experience in the energy industry, specifically in short-term power market forecasting.
• Knowledge of GitHub or Azure DevOps is desirable.
• SQL knowledge is desirable.
