Design Engineer – Electrical, Mechanical, Hull

Based in Barrow-in-Furness multiple Design Engineers are required on a 12++ month contract basis to work for a Defence client.

Hourly Rates

Local Candidates: 22.12 PAYE or £29.19 Umbrella

Non-Local Candidates: £30.12 PAYE or £39.74 Umbrella

I’m looking for candidates with an Electrical, Mechanical, or Hull background.

Please note that candidates will be required to undergo full SC Clearance.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Experience in design in one or more of the following industries: Defence, Power Industry, Oil and Gas or similar industries.
• Demonstrable ability at utilising 2D CAD design packages.
• Ability to apply the relevant Engineering processes regarding the integration, of the relevant, systems and equipment within the 3D CAD Product Model
• Ideally experience or familiarity with FORAN package (or transferrable packages CADDS5 or Catia v5, v6 or NX)
• Shipbuilding/marine experience.
