ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform related duties and keep necessary records. Requires constant exercise of independent discretion and judgment. Analyzes research data and proposed product specifications to determine feasibility of product proposal Confer with research and other engineering personnel to clarify or resolve problems and prepare design modifications as required. Prepare or direct preparation of product or system layout with detailed drawings/schematics. Direct and coordinate manufacturing of prototype product or systems. Plan and develop experimental test programs. Analyze test data and reports to determine if design meets functional and performance specifications. Evaluates engineering test results for possible application to development of systems or other uses. Use design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks. Delivers pre- and post-sales technical support and training of HVAC products to distributors, contractors, and coworkers, by phone and in person. Provides onsite technical and installation assistance as required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university, and four or more years of experience. Employee must have Project Management, Problem solving, communication proficiency, leadership, and assertiveness capabilities.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Frequently required to: stand for extended periods of time up to eight to ten hours per shift, Sit for extended periods of time up to eight to ten hours per shift, Regularly required to work on computer for extended periods of time including entire shift, Safely manipulate self through the plant by walking or other means, Regularly required to talk, hear, and communicate, Frequently required use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms and type on a keyboard, Employee must be able to travel by car and plane; travel is primarily during the business day, but overnight travel is to be expected. As an exempt employee, be able to work until the job is completed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Typical manufacturing factory work environment. Exposure to constant noise, dirt, sharp objects, industrial equipment, temperature changes, electrical equipment, forklift traffic, and other typical hazards. Noise level in Plant is loud; Noise level in office area is quiet.
