Design Engineer

Job Description

We're working with an industry-leading manufacturer at the cutting edge of clean mobility and smart infrastructure. As they continue to grow, we're helping them find a talented Design Engineer to join their close-knit technical team.

This is a hands-on design role where you'll take real ownership of projects from concept through to production. You'll be creating technical drawings, solving engineering challenges, and collaborating across teams to deliver products seen and used by millions every day—both in the UK and internationally.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Producing detailed CAD drawings and 3D models for manufacturing
• Working closely with engineering, production, and procurement teams
• Managing BOMs and technical documentation
• Resolving design issues quickly and practically
• Contributing to continuous improvement across design processes

What You’ll Need

• Background in mechanical or fabrication design (architectural metalwork is ideal)
• Proficiency with CAD software such as Inventor, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach and a genuine interest in good engineering
