Design Engineer (Civil)

Job Description

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer on behalf of a civil engineering / water main contractor.\nThis reputable Water / Utilities contractor are growing and in need of a Design Engineer or Senior Design Engineer to supplement their strong design team. The work is covering multiple water frameworks in North England: Yorkshire Water, Severn Trent Water and United Utilities. This contractor has over £100m of work secured through these framework agreements over the next 2-3 years and are quickly establishing themselves as a go-to delivery partner for water infrastructure in England.\nThis role is based out of an office in Sheffield with regular site visits and offers hybrid working / WFH for 2-3 days per week.\nDuties as Design Engineer:\n * Detailed design work on water projects: waste water and clean water.\n * Allocating and managing CAD output from technicians.\n * Represent company in meetings, client & stakeholder interactions.\n * Undertake site visits to gather information & data.\n * Working with Project Managers to ensure smooth delivery on site.\n * Documentation & drawing reviews.\nExperience Required as Design Engineer:\n * Must have experience working as Design Engineer for a civil engineering contractor delivering water projects as part of a water framework.\n * Must have experience dealing with Yorkshire Water, Severn Trent Water etc.
