As Design Development Engineer - HVAC System HW (DRE) you will be responsible for:

• Define and establish component requirements based on physics for HVAC units and climate performance.
• Partner with the packaging team to align on design and coordinate thermal system objectives, ensuring that all thermal system requirements are met.
• Update and refine thermal system designs as necessary, collaborating with interface teams to balance competing needs and objectives.
• Collaborate with the design/release team to manage and implement change orders.
• Own and execute component changes within the scope of the change management process.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues or updates regarding components.
• Work closely with test engineers to design and implement test plans for HVAC systems.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and documentation in alignment with the product development timeline.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in HVAC system design for passenger vehicles.
• In-depth knowledge of thermal systems and HVAC component functionality.
• Proven ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to achieve design goals and system requirements.
• Proficiency in design and simulation software (e.g., CAD, thermal analysis tools).
• Strong understanding of the change management process and design release workflows.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, internal teams, and test engineers.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000

The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
