We need and value your experience with soil preparation equipment, specifically with machinery such as tractors, skid loaders, ATVs, UTVs, and even lawn mowers. Basic Function: Execute on assigned projects to creatively solve customers problems with simple, robust, and effective designs.
Activities & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with suppliers and other departments in the design and release of assigned New Product initiatives.
- Create and manage drawings, controlling revisions and releases of current and new products.
- Change management including the creating and updating of Engineering Change Notices.
- Create and update Build of Materials for assigned product projects.
- Support manufacturing, ensuring they have the information needed to execute tasks.
- Support the Customer Service department, informing them of changes to product or process.
- Assist in identifying and executing on the continuous improvement of current tools.
- Certify samples and first production runs meet quality expectations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Affinity for and extensive experience with agricultural and/or equipment operation
- Willing to study ABI's markets and products to become an expert in our field
- Strong 3D Modeling Skills - Creo/Pro E
- Experience with fluid power and DC electrical system
- Affinity for and/or experience with outdoor work industries
- Must have unwavering integrity and positivity
- Must be emotionally intelligent, a humble contributor to group goals and company needs
- Must be a self-motivated and driven learner with a desire to grow and be developed
- Must be willing to participate in ongoing education
- Must be proficient utilizing computers, mobile devices, and core office applications
- Advanced ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Developed ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years successful project management experience
- Minimum 7+ years successful experience in machinery design engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or related field
- Experience with design and specification of fluid power drive and accessory systems including mechanical design and conveyance systems.
- Design experience with fluid power control systems that involve both mechanical and electrical/electronic systems of control.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be willing to work in-house
- Must have the ability to safely lift 40 pounds
- Must have the ability to stand, sit, and/or see a screen for a full work shift
- Ability to talk or hear to communicate with others via phone, in-person, and/or computer
- Ability to listen to customers/vendors/colleagues, problem solve, and respond accordingly
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently
Environmental Conditions & Travel:
- The employee is exposed to manufacturing and warehouse environments with moderate to loud noise as well as office environments with moderate noise.
- The employee is required to wear suitable Personal Protective Equipment while working in the warehouse or manufacturing environments.
- Travel: Less than 5%.
