Job Advert: Design Engineering Manager (Pump Industry) - Chippenham



Location: Chippenham



Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum



About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic team in the pump industry. This role involves managing a multidisciplinary team of 5 Mechanical Design Engineers, 3 Electrical Design Engineers, and 1 Lead Design Engineer.



Key Responsibilities:



* Team Leadership: Oversee and guide a team of design engineers, ensuring their work meets the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.



* Project Management: Develop technically sound and commercially viable design packages for standard applications, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.



* Quality Assurance: Ensure the performance of the design teams aligns with customer expectations in terms of quality and service, and with the company’s goals regarding commercial viability.



* Collaboration: Foster a team-based mentality, promoting strong collaboration between Electrical and Mechanical Design Engineers and other departments to deliver integrated solutions.



Qualifications and Experience:



* Extensive experience in mechanical and electrical design engineering, ideally within the pump industry.



* Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing engineering teams.



* Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.



* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Competitive salary of £55k - £60k.



* Opportunity for remote home working upon successful completion of the probationary period.



* 23 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, increasing by 1 day each year up to 33 days plus 8 bank holidays.
