Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm & Fridays, 9am to 4pm.



Design Manager required for a highly successful manufacturing engineering organisation who provide niche designs to their clients.

The Design Manager Role:



Running the day to day of the design department, ensuring all design and drawing work is the highest standard.

         Design of company products for a range of project from a value of £2000 to £2million.

         Completing designs within the relevant regulations/standards.

         Producing initial 2D layout drawings for client discussion and approval.

         Producing 3D manufacturing models for fabrication and installation.

         Completing full design packages consisting of BOMs, design specification, installation detail drawings & post installation as-built documentation.

         Liaison with the projects team.

         To design, implement and manage Design Department Procedures and to include a Drawing Management System to allow appropriate access for all users in the company.

         Work closely with Contracts Director.

         Visit site as necessary to measure up and detail site dimensions and solutions.

The Successful Design Manager:



Leadership/management experience.

         Competent in use of AutoCAD LT and SolidWorks.

         Solid understanding of Sheet Metal Fabrication.

         You will hold an HND or equivalent in an engineering discipline eg mechanical
