DESCRIPTION

As a Designer, you will ultimately leverage your knowledge of professional design, strategic thinking, collaborative skills, and strong communication acumen to develop project designs and construction documents for single and multi-discipline projects. The responsibilities of this position include:

  • Utilize experience and knowledge from coursework in the design of architectural/engineering projects.
  • Generate project design and construction documents with oversight from senior staff for projects ranging from private residences to K-12 campuses and seismic retrofits of existing buildings to commercial developments.
  • Utilize the applicable codes, regulations, and laws to preform code reviews and ensure project compliance.
  • Assist on projects during construction through review and processing of RFI's, material submittals, and periodic on-site construction observation.
  • Collaborate with project partners (in-house disciplines, owners, architects, sub-consultants, etc.).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering from an accredited program
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills in a deadline driven arena
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
  • Strong proven technical skills
  • Ability to travel (occasionally) as we support projects throughout the state
  • Valid driver's license

  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Repetitive use of hands and fingers (i.e. keyboarding, data entry)
  • Must be able to see and hear in order to gather and input information; respond to face-to-face and telephone inquiries
  • Must be able to occasionally life, push, pull, and carry materials weighing a maximum of 50 pounds
  • Able to work in low light conditions, with desk lamps versus overhead lighting
  • Ability to walk throughout a warehouse floor following our internal safety guidelines
