As Developer Scientific Geophysical Software (d/f/m) you will development of algorithms for processing electromagnetic measurements made while drilling and their integration into software for reservoir navigation and 3D mapping.
Work Experience
As a Developer Scientific Geophysical Software , you will be responsible for:
- Developing of algorithms for processing electromagnetic measurements made while drilling
- Implementing of algorithms in production software using object-oriented programming
- Testing algorithms using benchmarks and field data
- Collaborating with the software users for collection of feedback and improvement of the software
- Participating in paper and article preparation for the major professional societies’ events (SPE, SPWLA, EAGE).
- Driving technical communication with customers and research institutes
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have successfully completed your studies in in Physics, Geophysics, Mathematics, or Computer Science
- Have experience in development of software using object oriented programming (C++, C#, or similar programming environments)
- Have experience in development of computational algorithms using C++, Fortran, Python, C# or similar programming environments
- Have experience in the Oil and Gas industry and software development experience
- Have basic knowledge of electromagnetic measurement principles
- Have technical writing and presentation skills and deep affinity for technical problem solving
