What does the role entail?

As a Development Engineer at TestLink, your primary mission is to cultivate and enhance our in-house knowledge of Wincor and Diebold ATMs. This role is instrumental in ensuring that TestLink can offer full support to our customers using these machines. Your expertise will also be vital in training third-party Field Engineers to maintain Wincor, Diebold, and eventually NCR ATMs.

Key Duties:

• Become TestLink's Wincor & Diebold Nixdorf (W & DN) Expert: Develop an unmatched proficiency in Wincor and Diebold ATMs, making you the go-to expert within the organization.
• Liaise with Customers: Occasionally engage with customers to ensure their requirements are clearly understood and met.
• Documentation Management: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation covering the entire range of Wincor and Diebold ATMs used at TestLink.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of changes in the Diebold Nixdorf range, ensuring TestLink remains at the forefront of ATM technology.
• Identify Van Kit Components: Collaborate in identifying components in "new technology" ATM modules that should be included in van kits or are likely to require regular replacement.
• Training Support: Assist in editing or creating training materials for TestLink's shop floor, specifically related to the refurbishment of modules.
• Third-Party Engineer Training: Deliver comprehensive training to third-party ATM field engineers, encompassing both desk-based instruction and hands-on training, which may require international travel.
• In-House Training: Conduct and support in-house training related to ATM operation and maintenance.
• Team Collaboration: Attend the daily engineering team toolbox meetings and collaborate with colleagues in person or remotely via Teams.
• Hardware Procurement: If new technology hardware is required, work with the TestLink team to facilitate its purchase, contributing to broader Engineering Department projects.
• Sales Support: Collaborate with TestLink's Sales team to identify the Wincor and Diebold ATMs used by our customers, especially new or challenging models.

Who will make the Right Candidate?

Qualifications/Skills:

• An apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in an engineering subject or a related field.
• Comprehensive understanding of the Wincor and Diebold Nixdorf ATM range, including deposit, recycling, and coin carts.
• A curiosity for understanding how electro-mechanical devices work, with the ability to disassemble, rebuild, and test them.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
