Development Engineer for Steel Parts/Core/Tank/Windings in Power Transformers About the Role Location Mexico Queretaro Santiago de Queretaro Company Siemens Energy, S. de de Organization Grid Technologies Business Unit Product Management Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Mid-level Professional A Snapshot of Your Day As a Development Engineer for Power Transformers you are a major part of power transformers development group within PRM. Inside a global development team, you are responsible to define and support technical rules and solutions. You will be responsible not only for the technical content but also for business objectives such as budget, quality, performance, and schedule requirements. You make sure that we define and implement on the most uniform and standardized components, so that we can provide new balanced engineering solutions in a timely manner while keeping the costs to a minimum. In addition to your role, you will be involved in different R&D projects within the PRM organization and supporting the power transformer factories all over the world. How You will make an impactLead subprojects in the development environmentSupport the standardization and modularization programSupport non-standard functional requirements from end-customersSubproject controlling including planning and reportingAnalyzing, rating and estimating user requirements and design solutions in collaboration with the partners and the project teamYou actively collaborate with teams from different departments and sites in an international environmentCoordination of external partners and suppliersYou help to improve the development methods and processes in a highly skilled development teamDrive key innovation projects and look for new fields ofSupport topics related to technology and innovationMaterial qualificationTechnical supplier development including auditsTechnical claim managementWhat You BringEducation (HTL/FH/TU) in the field of mechanical engineering or in a comparable areaMid- or Long-term experience (3-5 years) in design mechanical components within CAD environmentDeep knowledge in the mechanical constructionExpertise in material properties and mechanical stiffnessAbility to form sophisticated rulesProfound knowledge in CREO 3D, PDMLink (Windchill) and CADIM (Agile)Knowledge of transformer portfolio, mechanical design processes and rules as well as related manufacturing technologiesAbility to work independently, and the ability to collaborate optimally with team members as well as with various internal and external team membersExperience within international project teamsGood communication skillsProficient EnglishExperience in different R&D projectsWillingness to travel Who is Siemens Energy?At Siemens Energy, we are more than just an energy technology company.
