Job Summary
We are seeking a DevOps Architect with a proven track record in designing and implementing effective DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will facilitate collaboration between development and operations teams, ensuring seamless integration and delivery of software solutions.
Role and Responsibilities
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following competencies and fulfill essential duties:
- Design and implement automated CI/CD release pipelines for Azure to enhance deployment efficiency.
- Maintain and manage Azure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure robust infrastructure management.
- Set up and configure various environments including development, testing, production, demo, and training.
- Automate deployment processes using industry-standard tools to streamline operations.
- Manage Azure DevOps credentials and permissions to maintain security and access control.
- Monitor system performance and costs, troubleshooting issues as they arise to ensure optimal operation.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely software releases that meet quality and security standards.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to DevOps processes and procedures.
- Continuously identify areas for improvement within the DevOps process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, with a strong focus on Azure.
- Proficiency in Azure release pipelines and related maintenance tasks.
- In-depth understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with automation tools such as Azure Pipelines, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills in such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Proficient in SQL for database management.
- Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration across teams.
- Experience with C#.NET Core and web application development is a plus.
Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to perform general office duties, including sitting, standing, and walking. Employees should be able to communicate effectively, lift light objects (up to 25 lbs), and use standard office equipment. Occasional bending, twisting, or reaching may be necessary.
