Spokane Produce, Inc. is seeking a qualified Diesel Drive-Thru Mechanic to add to our team.
Essential Duties:
• Performs multipoint inspections following DOT standards
• Preventive maintenance responsibilities to include but not limited to: lube changes, oil changes, filter services, and brake adjustments.
• Check all vehicle fluids, tire pressure and make general repairs when necessary.
• Clean and maintain garage area as needed.
• Diagnose issues and recommend repair work to mechanics.
• Assists mechanics and performs other duties as assigned.
• Keep required maintenance logs
• Assist with preventive maintenance
• Assist with repairing trailers and reefer units
• Must have some experience with auto or truck maintenance and own some tools
• Assist with repairs to trailers and reefer units
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in an enclosed mechanic bay exposed to welding fumes and smoke, diesel exhaust and machine noise
- Ability to work in non-climate controlled conditions is required
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and safety regulations is required
- Visual and hearing abilities required as it relates to the job and safety regulations
- Frequently stand/walk during shift; frequently bend, twist, and squat during shift
- Frequently lift using both hands/arms reaching, grasping and carrying, weights up to 30 lbs., occasionally up to 50 lbs., rarely up to 100 lbs.
- Regular, predictable full attendance is an essential function of the job
- Must be mechanically inclined
