Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Description:We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain our fleet of diesel-powered vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake adjustments.- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in diesel engines and related systems.- Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and ensure vehicles meet safety standards.- Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and repair engine and transmission issues.- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient service.- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent.- Certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship program .- Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and related systems.- Strong knowledge of diesel engine components and maintenance procedures.- Ability to use diagnostic tools and software effectively.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Valid driver’s license; CDL but not required.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Pay Information:- Competitive salary of $20 - $35 per hour, commensurate with experience.
