Ripple Effect is seeking a proactive and organized Digital Meeting Planner Manager with government event planning experience to join Ripple Effect's Communication and Outreach Division. The ideal candidate will be a professional who has been responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, execution, and evaluation of digital or virtual events and is ready to move into a supervisory role.   • Pay Range: $86,045 - $98,952 per year (how we pay and promote) 

Responsibilities

  • Leads all aspects of event management for multiple clients, including creating agendas and slide development, facilitating meetings, taking notes, and tracking action items
  • Leads all in-person events, including signage and materials, and all coordination and relationships with in-person vendors
  • Supervises and manages a small team, providing mentoring, oversight and managing performance.
  • Develops and implements processes and procedures to enhance effectiveness and efficiency of team's operations.
  • Acts as lead point of contact for external consultants and vendors.
  • Ensures projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget and are technically sound and accurate.
  • Contributes to proposal writing and technical solutioning for relevant projects and may lead technical or management sections.
  • Develops detailed project plans to manage all components of the event's lifecycle (pre-, day-of, and post-event) including building and managing event budgets, creating and monitoring registration sites, uploading content on websites, drafting event-related emails, plans, and social media, developing vendor RFPs, sourcing, negotiating, and selecting vendors, securing room blooks, making travel arrangements, responding to attendee and client questions, providing day-of support, reviewing and analyzing survey responses, drafting and reviewing meeting summaries, and reconciling invoices
  • Provides advice on technical approaches to accomplish meeting planning project objectives including data management and visualization
  • Performs other duties related to the core functions of the role

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience 

  • Completed High School
  • 6 or more years of professional experience
  • 4 or more years of experience in coordinating digital events
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and/or Certified Government Meeting Professional (CGMP)

Basic Requirements

  • Experience coordinating government or non-profit event planning initiatives for clients
  • Strong knowledge of social media, email marketing platforms, and digital event strategies and best practices
  • Experience analyzing events, social media and website metrics
  • Ability to prioritize among multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills for face-to-face interactions with clients, co-workers, and leadership and preparing high quality, client-ready deliverables
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of web-based systems such as SharePoint and Teams
  • Ability and willingness to report to our Headquarters office (located in Rockville, MD) on a hybrid basis (weekly) and to event sites as needed

  • Experience with any of Ripple Effect's current clients such as CMS, NIH, AHRQ, or PCORI
