HOSS LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Directional Drilling Foreman to oversee and manage daily directional drilling operations. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective execution of all directional drilling and activities. The Directional Drilling Foreman will manage field operations, lead crews, and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of directional drilling activities on-site, ensuring they are conducted safely and efficiently.

Supervise and lead a team of directional drilling operators and crew members, ensuring adherence to operational and safety standards.

Coordinate and collaborate with other departments (e.g., utility locators, traffic control, engineers, operations, safety) to ensure seamless execution of the project.

Monitor and direct the crew to meet project specifications.

Ensure that all equipment is in proper working order and coordinate with the maintenance team for repairs and service.

Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues on-site to minimize downtime.

Maintain accurate documentation of drilling progress, equipment maintenance, and personnel.

Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory guidelines.

Conduct pre-job safety meetings and ensure that all personnel are trained on job-specific tasks.

Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders on job status and issues.
Qualifications:
-
Proven experience as a Directional Drilling Foreman or in a similar role in the drilling industry.

In-depth knowledge of directional drilling techniques, tools, and equipment.

Rock/Air Hammer experience is highly .

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to lead a crew in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Familiarity with safety procedures, environmental regulations, and industry standards.

Ability to read and interpret technical drilling plans and specifications.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
-
Valid driver’s license (CDL ).

Ability to work in remote locations and under challenging environmental conditions.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
-
Ability to work long hours, including nights and weekends, as required.

Willingness to travel to remote locations and work in varying weather conditions.
