Director of Business Development - Warehouse Automation - EMEA SUMMARY OPEX Corporation is seeking a leader for the Director of Business Development position. The Director of Business Development will work closely with Global Business Development and the company owners to drive the sales strategy behind selling warehouse automation products. OPEX’s next business development leader will be able to work with customers to help them understand their best fit for OPEX material handling equipment. The Director of Business Development, is also tasked with designing staffing plans, coordinating with other departments, attending weekly departmental and project management meetings, conducting employee performance reviews, training and mentoring staff and participating in recruiting, and coordinate quality assurance reviews and randomly auditing work of department. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Report to the Senior Director of Global Business Development or his designee. Hire and manage one additional Business Development Manager, preferably based in Germany. Manage and coach potential customers, partners, and integrators on understanding the best fit applications for OPEX material handling equipment. Develop and provide estimated and firm price proposals and quotations. Assist the OPEX warehouse automation team in evaluating system layout and designs. Provide consultation and support as needed for internal marketing and sales efforts Develop and uncover new customer opportunities for OPEX. Use the designated OPEX tool for recording and planning customer and prospect interactions Attend and speak at trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events. Provide feedback and input for product improvement considerations based on market trends Provide consultation and support to potential customers who are evaluating material handling automation. Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Travel expectations 30 - 50%.
