Join our dynamic Capture Excellence team in the Health & Civil Sector at Leidos, where you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and success across essential government initiatives.


The Director of Capture will be at the forefront of our mission, spearheading the strategy and pursuit of key opportunities that align with our growth objectives. You will lead the charge on 1-2 critical captures, guiding them from qualification through proposal submission. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background as a capture manager, with a proven track record of securing $200M+ contracts from U.S. Government customers in health-related fields such as the NIH, CDC, DHA, and Veterans Administration, as well as civilian agencies like NASA and the Department of Energy.


In this high-visibility role, you will conceptualize a winning strategy and create actionable capture plans that resonate with customer needs. You'll adeptly navigate the evolving procurement landscape, managing both internal and external teams to ensure seamless execution and preparation for quick post-award transition. Additionally, this position offers valuable exposure to various customers, markets, and technologies across Leidos, as well as engagement with executive leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:


Develop a comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and lead planning sessions with the core team.


Strategize on win themes aligned with customer priorities.


Coordinate with customers, competitors, and teammates to gather market insights on requirements and acquisition strategies.


Drive capture activities including opportunity reviews, collaboration sessions, and proposal assessments.


Work closely with functional teams such as finance, strategy, and technology to ensure cohesive efforts.


Lead competitive assessments and pricing strategies.


Oversee the creation and submission of white papers and proposal artifacts.


Apply Leidos’ capture planning processes and best practices to achieve objectives.


Provide updates on capture status to senior management and executive leadership.


Conduct after-action reviews to document lessons learned and refine strategies.


Mentor team members in the capture management process.


Develop and manage capture budgets effectively.


Basic Qualifications:


Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of relevant experience; equivalent experience may substitute for a degree.


Proven leadership in directing significant capture activities, building teams, and shaping acquisition strategies.


Track record of winning $250M+ contracts with U.S. Government clients.


Experience leading teams within a matrixed environment.


Strong communication skills with prior experience briefing executives.


Understanding of corporate finance concepts and indirect rates.


Familiarity with various contract types and payment structures.


Willingness to travel up to 25% for customer engagements.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office for creating reports and presentations.


Must be a U.S. .


Qualifications:


3+ years of program or project management experience.


Formal training in Capture Management.


Existing relationships within U.S. Government health-related offices and civilian agencies.

$148,850.00 - $269,075.00
