Our client, a growing industrial & utility-scale solar EPC, is expanding its self-perform construction team to meet the growing demand of utility-scale solar projects. With exciting opportunities to help shape the company’s trajectory, this role offers the chance to build and lead a dedicated team while overseeing a variety of solar projects ranging from 20MW to 75MW. As the company plans to scale its offerings into 100MW+ projects, this is a key leadership position.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, grow, and manage the self-perform construction team, ensuring high-quality performance across solar projects.
• Oversee the self-perform scope of work on projects, ensuring cost efficiency, adherence to timelines, and top-tier quality standards.
• Manage and coordinate all aspects of electrical and mechanical self-perform construction, reducing the reliance on external subcontractors.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to field teams, ensuring they are equipped to perform at their highest potential.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on resource planning, project timelines, and profitability targets.
• Establish and maintain strong safety protocols to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
• Oversee hiring, training, and professional development of self-perform team members.

Required Experience:

• Previous experience leading self-perform teams in utility-scale solar projects, particularly for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated ability to manage self-perform construction teams on large-scale solar projects.
• Expertise in developing and implementing processes and procedures for effective self-perform construction.
• Experience working on projects in various geographical regions and a willingness to travel as required.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on performance and efficiency.
