As a Technical Manager for Facility Services at a Data Center, candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the technical operations and maintenance of the facility and its associated systems. Lead a team of technicians and engineers to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of critical facility infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Facility Systems Management:Oversee the operation and maintenance of critical facility systems, such as power distribution, backup generators, UPS systems, HVAC, fire suppression, and physical security.Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for facility systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment procurement, inspections, repairs, and maintenance contracts.Capacity and Space Management:Monitor and manage the infrastructure capacity, including power, cooling, and floor space, to ensure adequate resources are available for current and future needs.Plan and coordinate facility expansions, equipment installations, and upgrades, considering the impact on infrastructure capacity and availability.Work closely with the data center design and construction team to ensure new projects adhere to specifications and meet operational requirements.Environmental and Compliance Management:Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices to protect employees, visitors, and the facility.Monitor and maintain environmental controls, such as temperature, humidity, and air quality, to support optimal equipment performance and reliability.Incident Response and Disaster Recovery:Develop and implement protocols and procedures for incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity.Coordinate with relevant teams during emergency situations to mitigate risks, minimize downtime, and restore services.Conduct regular drills and tests to validate the effectiveness of the disaster recovery plans.Team Leadership:Recruit, train, and manage a team of technicians and engineers, providing guidance, performance feedback, and mentoring.Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, encouraging continuous learning and skills development.Delegate tasks, set clear objectives, and monitor the team's performance to ensure the timely and efficient completion of assignments.Stakeholder Management:Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including data center operations, IT teams, and management, to align facility services with business requirements.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on facility operations, maintenance activities, and any potential issues or risks.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.Previous experience in managing facility services in a data center or mission-critical environment.Strong knowledge of critical facility infrastructure systems, including power distribution, HVAC, fire suppression, and physical security.Familiarity with environmental regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices for data center facilities.Proficiency in facility management systems and tools for monitoring and reporting.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
