LOOKING FOR FILIPINOS WHO ARE PHILIPPINES-BASED CANDIDATES Position : Director Of People Operations Working Schedule : 8a-5p CST Salary Range :$1,400-$1,800 (the final salary will be determined by the candidate's level of experience and at the discretion of the client) We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Director of People Operations to join our team. This role serves as a key liaison between Human Resources and Accounting/Finance, ensuring smooth execution of HR functions that intersect with financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both HR and payroll processes, benefits administration, compliance, and financial best practices. Key Responsibilities: HR & Payroll Support Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all paperwork, I-9 verification, and system setups are completed. Manage and process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Handle employee data management, including payroll records, tax documents, and direct deposit information. Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries, benefits enrollment, and general HR questions. Maintain compliance with wage and hour laws, ensuring adherence to internal payroll policies and external regulations. Benefits Administration Serve as the primary point of contact for benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries. Coordinate annual open enrollment, ensuring smooth communication and transition for employees. Liaise with insurance providers to ensure adequate coverage and resolve employee concerns. Track and maintain records related to employee benefits and retirement plans. Assist with 401(k) administration, including contributions, reporting, and audits. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels, including but not limited to labor standards, workplace safety, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Ensure company policies are established, communicated, and enforced to align with legal requirements and mitigate organizational risk. Work with insurance brokers to implement, renew, and obtain appropriate insurance coverages, including General Liability (GL), Workers’ Compensation, Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI), Directors & Officers (D&O), and any other necessary policies to mitigate risk. Manage and maintain HR and payroll documentation to support audits and compliance reviews. Finance & Accounting Support Work closely with the Accounting team to reconcile payroll transactions, benefit expenses, and tax filings. Assist in budgeting for payroll and benefits expenses. Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of workers’ compensation claims, unemployment insurance, and other employment-related liabilities. Generate and analyze payroll and HR reports as needed for financial planning and decision-making. Manage annual compensation reviews, bonus allocations, and benchmarking to ensure competitive and equitable pay practices. Support other finance-related HR functions as needed Qualifications: Education & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in HR and/or payroll processing, preferably in a fast-paced startup or mid-sized company. HR certifications (e.g., PHR, SPHR) are a plus. Technical Skills : Proficiency in Payroll Systems (we use Rippling). Strong Excel skills: experience with QuickBooks Online and RAMP is a plus. HR & Compliance Knowledge : Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, payroll tax regulations, benefits administration, and the full employee life cycle. Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving : Ability to manage sensitive data accurately and handle payroll/benefits issues while ensuring compliance. Strong decision-making skills with a focus on innovative solutions. Communication & Interpersonal Skills : Excellent ability to interact with employees at all levels, build strong relationships, and foster a collaborative work environment. Adaptability & Initiative : Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Stay up to date with industry trends and proactively adjust HR strategies as needed. Workplace Support : Assist with administrative responsibilities related to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
