Join our Enterprise client headquartered in Orlando with facilities across the United States. The Director of Project Management is responsible for managing a team of project managers and overseeing multiple projects within the organization. This role will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines, budget, and quality standards.  

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • 10+ years of experience leading projects with strong relationship management skills
  • Experience and demonstrated competency in managing resources, tasks, scope, and budgets for large IT projects
  •  Excellent leadership and strong communication skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people at all levels of the organization
  • Strong analysis, problem-solving, and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated preference for taking initiative and ownership of projects and key deliverables
  • Experience leading technical solution design and developing detailed project plans including allocation/scheduling of tasks for project team members
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Strong communication skills

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business or a related field
  • Project management certification (PMP)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of project managers
  • Oversee multiple projects within our organization
  • Track and coordinate all projects and initiatives across the organization by working directly with the Leadership Team  and project leads
  • Coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants
  • Direct and integrate the activities of the projects
  • Ensure that all projects are consistent with the mission, goals, and strategic plan of our organization
  • Report to top management
  • Develop a methodology for standardized project management
  • Conduct monthly presentations to leadership on the strategic initiative KPIs tied to each project, measuring project success and identifying any needed areas to course correct to achieve fiscal year financial goals
  • Create transparency, provide visibility, and improve communication for cross-functional teams on the initiatives across all departments
    Lead the definition of project charters, including project objectives, scope, stakeholder management, project stewardship, approach, deliverables and key milestones
  • Provide direction to project team members throughout the project life cycle
  • Plan, execute, and finalize projects according to deadlines, budget, and quality standards
