We are seeking an experienced Director of Parts Procurement, Inventory, and Warehouse Management to lead our parts and warehouse operations, optimizing our supply chain from procurement to distribution.

About the Role

This leadership role is based at our Phoenix divisional headquarters, overseeing a nationwide network of warehouses and parts distribution centers. The Director will drive procurement strategy, inventory optimization, and warehouse efficiency to ensure our HVAC-R technicians and service teams have the right parts, at the right time, in the right place. This position requires a strategic thinker with deep experience in HVAC-R parts procurement, inventory management, and multi-location warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Develop and implement HVAC-R-specific procurement strategies to secure high-quality parts and equipment at the best value.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with HVAC-R manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing and contracts.
  • Monitor supply chain risks, vendor performance, and market trends to ensure consistent availability of critical components.
  • Leverage data analytics to drive purchasing decisions and reduce costs.

Inventory & Parts Management

  • Design and implement inventory control policies to minimize shortages, reduce excess stock, and improve turnover rates.
  • Oversee demand forecasting and stocking strategies to ensure optimal parts availability for HVAC-R service teams.
  • Work closely with Parts Managers and Specialists to standardize inventory processes across all locations.
  • Implement technology-driven solutions for real-time inventory tracking and management.

Warehouse Operations & Logistics

  • Oversee multi-site warehouse operations nationwide, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, picking, and distribution processes.
  • Standardize best practices for warehouse layout, inventory flow, and fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with logistics partners to streamline transportation and distribution, optimizing delivery times for technicians and service teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, HVAC-R industry standards, and operational best practices.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Parts Managers, Parts Specialists, and Warehouse Teams across multiple locations.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Provide training and mentorship to enhance team capabilities and operational efficiency.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and monitor KPIs for procurement cost savings, inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and service response times.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising service quality.
  • Drive process automation and leverage WMS (Warehouse Management Systems), ERP platforms, and AI-driven forecasting tools to optimize operations.

Qualifications & Skills

Industry Expertise: Minimum 7+ years in HVAC-R, industrial supply chain, or related procurement/inventory management roles.
Leadership Experience: Proven track record managing multi-location teams of Parts Managers, Warehouse Leaders, and Specialists.
Supply Chain & Procurement: Strong background in HVAC-R parts sourcing, supplier negotiations, and procurement best practices.
Inventory & Logistics: Expertise in demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and warehouse efficiency strategies.
Technology & Analytics: Proficiency in ERP, WMS, and inventory tracking tools to enhance operational decision-making.
Problem-Solving & Strategy: Ability to analyze supply chain challenges and implement scalable solutions.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong ability to negotiate, influence, and work cross-functionally across departments.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field ( but not required with equivalent experience).
