Job Overview
As the District Manager of Operations, you will be responsible for managing the overall performance and success of several Smalls Sliders locations within your district. You will play a key role in maintaining high operational standards, driving sales growth, enhancing the customer experience, and ensuring team effectiveness. This role requires leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of quick-service restaurant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management: Oversee and support the day-to-day operations of multiple Smalls Sliders locations, including hiring, training, and developing restaurant managers and staff.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure all locations operate efficiently and effectively, meeting the company’s operational standards, food safety, and cleanliness requirements.
- Financial Management: Monitor and drive profitability by managing labor costs, controlling food costs, and ensuring financial goals and budgets are met.
- Customer Experience: Lead initiatives to enhance the customer experience at all locations, ensuring Smalls Sliders remains a top choice for guests through consistent service, quality food, and a welcoming atmosphere.
- Sales Growth: Develop and implement strategies to boost sales and profitability, including promotions, local marketing efforts, and operational improvements.
- Inventory & Supply Chain: Oversee inventory management, ordering, and supply chain coordination to ensure locations are well-stocked and operating at peak efficiency.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all locations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards, labor laws, and food safety guidelines.
- Reporting & Analysis: Regularly assess and report on key performance metrics (KPIs), including sales, labor costs, and customer satisfaction. Provide actionable recommendations to improve performance across locations.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve operational issues, customer complaints, and employee concerns quickly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (5+ years) in restaurant management, with at least 2 years in a multi-unit or district manager role.
- Strong knowledge of quick-service restaurant (QSR) operations, including staffing, inventory management, financial oversight, and customer service.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team across multiple locations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales and profitability in a competitive market.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Familiarity with restaurant management software and systems.
- Ability to travel between locations within the district as needed.
- Previous experience working in a fast-casual or slider-focused restaurant concept.
