Employment Type: 1 yr. Contract

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8 AM 5 PM with a target of 45 hours per week

Tekberry is looking for a Drafting/CAD Technician II to work hybrid with our client, a leading global manufacturing company. The role is to support a global drafting department in creating, revising, and managing electronic drawing files for custom-designed process equipment across multiple manufacturing locations. The role primarily involves modifying existing models/drawings, converting legacy drawings into 3D models, and ensuring compliance with company drafting standards. Responsibilities:

• Modify redlined models/drawings based on feedback from drafting leads and engineering teams.
• Convert hand-drawn and AutoCAD legacy drawings into 3D models and associative drawings.
• Generate 2D drawings from existing 3D models provided by other team members.
• Collect data from engineering teams and incorporate information into appropriate drawings.
• Take measurements from the production floor and integrate them into drawings.

Qualifications:

• Education (One of the following):
  • A.A.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology
  • A.O.S. in Drafting/CAD
  • Drafting Certificate/Certification
  • Candidates without a degree must demonstrate proficiency in 2D and 3D drafting and at least 2 years of Drafting/CAD Technician & Mechanical Engineering experience.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in mechanical drafting.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault software.
• Strong understanding of ASME/ANSI drafting standards.
• General Windows-based computer skills.
• Ability to adapt to company drafting standards and guidelines.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
