Drilling Project Manager
This company provides innovative directional drilling services for the mining and civil industries. They manufacture and sell downhole directional drilling products. The company also operates a fleet of directional drilling units for underground and surface applications. They problem-solve, create and formulate innovative, cost-effective solutions and deliver quality.
Responsibilities include:
• Engineering design and planning, including estimations for multi-drill and single-purpose projects
• Coordinating drilling project logistics, including procurement and shipment of necessary equipment, personnel scheduling, project start-up meetings with the client, and development of all required client documentation, contractual and safety for the performance of the work
• Manage all day-to-day operational aspects of the projects ensuring safe and efficient daily operation
• Maintain schedules and monitor costs to achieve on-time and on-budget performance
• Regularly communicate with Clients regarding project issues and concerns, including cost expenditures relative to budget, and manage all change orders
• Maintain detailed project files, including daily drilling progress reports, incurred project costs, and invoices for the work performed
• Assist in expanding service offerings into other sectors, and create market
Qualifications
• BS degree in Engineering, Geology, or Geophysics
• Minimum of five (4) years of project management experience in the drilling, mining, or civil industries, preferably underground coal mining or underground drilling
• Excellent technical design, organization, and communication skills
• Estimated travel - 20%
