Drilling Supervisor
Raeburn Drilling & Geotechnical Ltd, part of the Igne Group of companies, are seeking to recruit an experienced Drilling Supervisor to join their successful and expanding team in Hamilton, Glasgow. You will be responsible for managing the drilling crews on large, complex ground investigation projects. This is a hands-on role where you will be required to provide supervisory support, alongside ensuring that the correct equipment and resource are available so the project is delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities:
* Attend pre-tender site walkovers feeding back information to the commercial team
* Plan and organise drilling activities in co-ordination with drilling engineers and contractors
* Support the Operations Director and work to problem solve on existing projects
* Work with the Contracts teams and other Supervisors to effectively execute site works and enhance production
* Manage drilling personnel, including supervision, guidance and support to increase skill base
* Monitor drilling progress and make adjustments and/or identify new operational practices and equipment as appropriate to enhance productivity and safety
* Conducting regular inspections and audits to and mitigate potential risks
* Liaise with Drilling staff and Management on logistics and site performance and assist where necessary with general drilling operations including operating rigs.
The following are requirements for this position:
* Extensive experience in drilling operations, with a strong knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment and safety practices
* Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the drilling industry
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
* Attention to detail and the ability to analyse complex drilling data
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Adaptability and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Strong commitment to safety and the ability to promote a safety culture among drilling teams
* Full UK driving licence
* A willingness to travel and working away on site
