Durability Development Engineer

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Corrosion Engineer to join our team. The





primary responsibility of this role is to manage vehicle-level and component-level corrosion





tests, ensuring the durability and reliability of products. The ideal candidate will have a





foundational understanding of corrosion processes, materials science, and testing methodologies,





and will work under the guidance of senior engineers to execute and analyze corrosion tests.





Key Responsibilities:





Manage Vehicle-Level Corrosion Tests:





oPlan, coordinate, and execute corrosion tests on full vehicles.





oMonitor test conditions and ensure that testing protocols are strictly followed.





oCollect, document, analyze and communicate test data to identify corrosion





issues.





Manage Component-Level Corrosion Tests:





oDesign and implement corrosion tests for individual vehicle components.





oWork closely with design and materials teams to select appropriate test methods





and materials.





oAnalyze test results and provide recommendations for material or design





improvements.





Data Analysis and Reporting:





oAnalyze corrosion test data and compile detailed reports.





oPresent findings to the engineering team, highlighting potential risks and





suggested corrective actions.





oMaintain accurate records of all tests, procedures, and results.





Collaboration and Communication:





oWork closely with cross-functional teams, including materials, design, and





reliability engineers, to ensure that corrosion resistance is considered in the early





stages of product development.





oCommunicate effectively with senior engineers and management to report





progress and discuss technical challenges.





Continuous Improvement:





oParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives related to laboratory corrosion





testing processes and methodologies.





oStay updated on the latest corrosion testing standards, technologies, and best





practices.





Qualifications:





 





Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or a related





field.





Basic understanding of corrosion mechanisms, materials science, and testing procedures.





Experience with corrosion testing methods, such as salt spray tests, humidity tests, and





cyclic corrosion tests, is a plus.





Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.





Excellent written and verbal communication skills.





Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.





Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.





Qualifications:





or co-op experience in corrosion engineering or a related field.





Familiarity with data analysis tools and software.





Knowledge of automotive materials and coatings.





Physical Requirements:





Ability to work in a laboratory environment with exposure to various chemicals and test





conditions.





Occasional travel may be required to support off-site testing,
