Job Title: Industrial Electrician

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and install all components of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install all electrical components of the factory building, including low voltage and 480V/208-120V systems.
• Use a laptop computer to troubleshoot and repair PLC controlled equipment.
• Ability to build and wire a working system from your properly drawn electrical diagram.
• Perform preventive maintenance using written work order procedures and report findings and recommendations in written reports.
• Conduct effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions for all electrically controlled equipment.
• Recommend and order spare parts and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Technical school graduate; State apprentice program completed.
• Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience working as an Electrician (preferably in the Industrial environment).
• Verifiable, formal training in Electrical Theory and Safety.
• Knowledge of PLC Programming, Troubleshooting, and Repair a plus.
• Understanding of industrial motor control, AC/DC, inverter drives, holding circuits, and overload protection.
• Capable of troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and wiring basic electrical components such as relays, starters, motors, drives, and switches.
• Must be able to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Experience using common electrical tools such as Multi-Meters, Strippers/Crimpers, EMT Benders, and Threaders.
• Must be able to mechanically disassemble and assemble basic machine components with common hand tools.
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal guidelines.
• Must be organized, neat, and able to work independently and as a team member.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Rockwell Automation SLC500.
• Preferred: Certificate of completion of an apprenticeship program.
• Preferred: E-2 License.

Environment:

• 100% performed in plant facilities with extensive noise, excessive heat, grease, and machinery running.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
