The Early Career Traineeship is designed for fresh graduates where Baker Hughes will train fresh talent who meet the required criteria to perform their traineeship in a specific business. The traineeship duration is 12 months in PP Ahmadi Yard, Kuwait and will develop your technical knowledge and soft skills and provide on the job learning and exposure.

As part of our Early Career Traineeship, you will be involved in: 

Attending classroom trainings and field jobs to fully understand the cementing operations and the business. By the end of the training program, you shall possess comprehensive knowledge of cementing operations ranging from pre-job planning, engineering design and job execution.

• HSE Induction to familiarize the trainees on Baker Hughes Safety Standards

• Learning about the technical engineering support from laboratory for the field operations, by testing oil well cements and cementing additives according to specification.

• Wellsite visits for monitoring the job execution and gaining hands on experience on the cementing equipment and execution

• Basic lab work which includes performing the lab test, designing the slurries and analyzing the result

• Basic engineering support which includes analyzing the data and job designing using cementing software

• Basic field work which includes rigging up and down, learning basic cementing equipment and job execution

Fuel your passion 

To be successful in this traineeship you will: 

• Have a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electrical or Electronics engineering, Chemical engineering or Chemistry Graduated from your bachelors’ degree or Masters Degree within the last 24 months.

• Have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0

• Be fluent in written and spoken English and have effective communication skills. 

• Be inquisitive and present a thirst for knowledge. 

• Be ready to work in the lab and in the wellsite when needed

• Be legally entitled to work within the country in which you are applying, without sponsorship or time restrictions.
