Ecologist

NESFircroft are partnered with an industry leading Power Cabling client actively sourcing for an Ecologist to join an established team on their high profile interconnector project. The Ecologist role will be hybrid between 2 sites and home , supervising and monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans and ecological good practice.



This role will be inside IR35 (Umbrella / PAYE only). Initial 12 month contract 



Candidate Requirements

Degree / diploma or equivalent in Environment and / or Ecology

Badger licencing and surveys

Bat licence and surveys

Reptile surveys

GCN surveys

Habitat and landscaping scheme experience

BNG experience preferable

Hold a valid CSCS or CCNSG Card or ability to obtain one to get onto site

At least 5 years’ experience as an ECoW / Ecologist

Hold membership with the Association of ECOW’s as an associate member or better (desirable)

Have active Continual Professional Development as an ECoW / Ecologist.

Previously held ECoW positions on large infrastructure projects

Fully conversant in Scottish law, legislation and consenting.

Competent in ensuring compliance with Environmental Plans and Procedures at a site level.

Must be client facing and feel comfortable monitoring tier contractors

Must be proactive, self-motivated and work well in a team.

Competent in the English and Microsoft Office.
