With a background in transmission and distribution, you will be skilled in tendering and executing large EHV cable projects. The ideal candidate will excel in safely delivering multi-million-pound projects on time and within budget. You will possess extensive experience in developing and delivering large EHV cable projects; familiarity with working on projects for NGED, SSEN, NGET, and similar operators; and a willingness to work on various cabling frameworks across the UK. This site-based position offers the opportunity to work across the UK, starting in the Midlands region. We are committed to attracting a broad range of skills, knowledge, and experiences and embrace differences.Engineering qualification (HND / HNC) or equivalent industry track record.Project management qualification Association for Project Management (APM) or similar. Understanding of Engineering principles, Construction Design Management (CDM) guidelines; and working knowledge of Cabling Installation techniques.Recognised SHE qualification such as Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) or National Examination Board in Occupational Safety & Health (NEBOSH). Experience of working with NGED, SSEN, NGET and other Distribution Network Operators. Strong commercial and contractual awareness: experience of managing the design requirements for Cabling projects inclusive of commercial budgets; good knowledge of NEC forms of contract; and good knowledge of Street works, and Local Authority permit requirements. Ability to lead and build project teams; and experience of developing and managing good working relationships with client and sub-contractors.Ability to proactively resolve any site issues with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Be able to work away from home when required and to hold a full driving licence.If you meet some but not all the criteria for Wood, consider yourself a good fit.
