
EL 2 - Project Director
$139,681 - $167,659 + 10% BDCP + up to 15.4% Superannuation Russell - ACT The Role Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems Branch is looking for experienced project managers to join us in delivering electronic warfare and intelligence capabilities to the ADF. Two EL 2 Project Director roles are available to draw on all of your experience, knowledge and leadership qualities: Project Director Tactical Electronic Warfare (EW) Program leads the development, delivery and support of a persistent Land Domain EW Land Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) capability to support decision advantage and deliver joint targeting effect. Program Director Maritime Electromagnetic Manoeuvre Warfare (MEMW) leads the delivery of next generation maritime electronic warfare capabilities. You will be responsible for delivering Australia’s Navy with next generation maritime electronic warfare capabilities under the MEMW Program. These roles need dynamic leaders with a proven record of delivering multiple concurrent complex projects to achieve Australia’s National Defence Strategy to defend, deter and deny. Successful applicants will need to possess high levels of strategic planning, commercial acumen, a proven history of managing interdependent and diverse teams and exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills. You will be responsible for a large, geographically dispersed and multi-disciplinary team across project, engineering, logistics and commercial activities to achieve capability outcomes for the ADF. This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. You will also have: Extensive experience in project management and an ability to drive and deliver outcomes in accordance with Government approvals and Defence frameworks. Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed and multi-disciplinary professionals. Be a capable leader who understands the audience and adjust their communication to provide advice in a clear and concise manner. Extensive experience spanning strategic planning, commercial acumen, complex stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills. An innovative and adaptive thinker who will accept accountability while taking a risk-based holistic approach to delivering capability outcomes. A strategic thinker who can demonstrate a high level of understanding of the National Defence Strategy, Integrated Investment Program and related Defence strategies and its impact for the acquisition, delivery and sustainment of capability.
