Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer

TSR is seeking an Electrical & Instrument Engineer to work with one of the largest EPC firms in the country. This is a long-term contract position located in Richmond, VA.
Summary of Responsibilities
- Responsible for study, design, specification, and services related to electrical systems including power , power systems performance and control, cabling and wiring, lighting, motor control centers, communication systems, cathodic protection, grounding, lightning protection, heat tracing, etc.
- Responsible for design, specification, selection and services relating to instrumentation and control systems including basic process control systems, safety systems, control panels, analyzer systems, telecommunications, field instrumentation, valves, etc.
- Provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Control Systems
- Minimum of 3 years of professional working experience
- The candidate must have a complete understanding of instrumentation and control system design
- The candidate must have a complete understanding of electrical system design; Have good understanding and knowledge of industry codes and standards (NFPA/NEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, API, and ASI)
