You will:Be involved in all phases of an electrical component’s lifecycle.Depending on level of experience, lead the components lifecycle management team. Work closely with design, reliability, suppliers, and procurement departments to ensure proper components selection based on application, cost, availability, and alternates for all stages of the end-products expected life.Be responsible for cost and warranty reductions for electrical components.Create plans to resolve end-of-life issues for components that are required for production or aftermarket support. Complete specifications, design, testing, and product support of electrical components.Provide project management leadership for design, testing, qualification, and implementation efforts to address component obsolescence.Monitor life cycle status for components used in current production and service to proactively identify and address potential obsolescence issues before they can impact the business.Understand end products and their lifecycles to facilitate addressing component obsolescence.Develop reporting methods to convey current life cycle statuses at detailed and summary levels.Perform the technical review for releasing/revising components.Remain current on component trends through active communication with manufacturers and distributors and by following industry literature and publications.Develop and implement cross-functional process and systems improvements.Follow existing procedures and guidelines for most decisions.Recommend changes in project direction in response to changing business requirements.Provide support to new product development teams and product engineers.Lead interdepartmental teams relative to components and life cycles.Keep the manager informed of progress, changes, priorities, and project cost/schedule status.Present project status to senior management.About you:Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology1+ year of related experienceIt would be great if you had:Experience with SPICE Simulation type software, Silicon Experts, eMatrix, and/or JDEdwards About the total compensation package: Benefits - We recognize the value of a comprehensive benefits program for our employees and work tirelessly to make sure our package meets the needs of our employees and their families.
