Electrical / Computer Engineering Lab Demonstrator
The Electrical/ Computer Engineering lab demonstrator plays a vital role in supporting the practical learning experience of students in laboratory environments. This role involves facilitating laboratory sessions, assisting faculty and students with experiments and various lab activities, and ensuring the proper use of equipment and software. Set up, organize and maintain laboratory equipment, and software required for laboratory experiments. Ensure the availability and functionality of necessary tools, software, instruments, and materials. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe laboratory environment. Familiarize students with safety measures and emergency procedures. Provide students with guidance and assistance in troubleshooting technical issues related to experiments. Demonstrate proper usage of equipment, tools, and software relevant to the experiment. Evaluate student performance during lab sessions. Grade assignments, lab reports, and projects in a timely and fair manner. Collaborate with course instructors and other lab demonstrators to ensure consistency in lab content and assessment. Perform other duties as reasonably required by management. Requirements o Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering, or related fields. o Professional certification in a related field is desirable. o Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in an academic or higher education setting. o Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, computer hardware, and software. o Proficiency in operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instruments. o Familiarity with low-level and high-level programming languages. o Commitment to safety and adherence to laboratory regulations and protocols. o Ability to work independently and responsibly while managing numerous projects simultaneously.
