Electrical & Controls Assembly

Job DescriptionJob Description

While still being a member of the electrical & controls assembly team – the wiring role would be more active, running cables and bending and installing conduit on the skids from devices to the enclosures, pulling wire and terminating at the devices and enclosures. The wirers are significantly more mobile and requires a bit more creativity – they would be on their feet essentially all day and unlike panel assembly that is very clearly laid out, the skid team is expected to determine the best routes around the skid to run the various cables & conduit. The schematics will identify which wires would go from point A to point B – but not HOW they should be routed, bundled, etc.

Abilities and Skills: • Able to read schematics, drawings, and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences. • Capable of working with basic hand tools, measurement devices, and power tools (drills, saws, etc). • Exhibit strong verbal communication with members of the team and other departments. • Perform general physical activities including the ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted. • Document as required to identify any changes or deviations. Expectations and Performance: • Results Oriented • Quality workmanship in conformance with information provided and/or department standards. • Wiring should be neat, tie wrapped, and tagged accurately within each enclosure
