JOB – Electrical Design Engineer

LOCATION - Delta, OH

TERM - Contract to Hire

SALARY- $90,000 - $100,000 per annum.

My client – a manufacturer of Machinery and Automated Production Systems are on the lookout for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team on an immediate basis in Greer, SC.

Candidates will need to have experience in ground up Design of Electrical Schematics and Layouts for Machinery / Robotic Control Panels or Cabinets.

Those with strong experience in working through full project lifecycles for Automated Production lines within Automotive, Materials Handling, Aerospace or Pharmaceutical will be a particularly good fit.

The Electrical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

• BS / MS Electrical or Automation Engineering.
• 5+ years' industrial experience within a similar Control Panel or Electrical Switchgear Design position.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD Electrical to deliver Electrical Layouts, load calculations and BOMs.
• Experience in Project Delivery / Design / Installation or Commissioning of Electrical Systems across a number of industries - Packaging Machinery would be ideal.
• Strong experience with Test Procedures and understanding of Electrical Test results.
• Knowledge of Control Systems for Automated Production Machinery.

TheElectrical Design Engineer's role will involve:

• Liaising with Customers from Design to stage to develop Drawings and Solutions from the ground up.
• Use of AutoCAD Electrical on a daily basis.
• Electrical Control Panel and Pneumatic Design for Special Purpose Machinery.
• Delivery of Electrical Schematics, Cable Schedules, Enclosure Designs, Loop Drawings and P&IDs.
• Working closely with Technical Teams to ensure adherence to standards, specifications and relevant budgets.
