Electrical Design Engineer(Transformer)

Looking for candidates with 4-5+years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or related role. Must have prior experience with oil-based medium voltage transformers.

We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to spearhead the design, development, and implementation of innovative electrical systems and components. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will work on projects in the electric vehicle industry, ensuring our solutions meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop transformer outline drawings for customers, encompassing structural and thermal elements within the external tank, internal core, and coil bracket, as well as seismic calculations and manufacturing drawings.
• Scrutinize customer specifications and order acknowledgements (OAs); resolve any ambiguities in collaboration with sales and customers; emphasize key features of the order.
• Generate designs; refine tank design; conduct comparisons with quoted designs; review designs with senior engineers; initiate material orders; create Bill of Materials (BoM) and naming conventions; assemble Mechanical shop packages.
• Inspect packages, adhering to ISO processes.
• Coordinate with Electrical and Control engineers for project alignment, conducting thorough checks of outline and control drawings before customer submission.
• Attend shop meetings and contribute to the development of permanent solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years' experience in electrical design and development.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design software tools like AutoCAD, MATLAB, and Excel Macros.
• Strong initiative, creativity, and collaborative skills within a team environment.
• Proven track record in independent design and packaging services.
