Electrical Engineer

Job Description

Location - Bridgwater

Hybrid role (2-3 days in the office)

Permanent Role only

Join the Switchers – a team of 6,500 trailblazers across 12 countries, dedicated to the task of the century: transitioning to low-carbon energy. At Assystem, we design and supervise major infrastructure projects while accelerating our clients' digital transformation – a key factor for success ⚡

As an Electrical Construction Engineer at Assystem, you’ll bridge the gap between design and construction, ensuring seamless communication. You'll play a pivotal role in electrical equipment installation, from planning to monitoring. With your expertise, you'll mitigate potential challenges, supervise installations per UK regulations, foster relationships with Hinkley Point C and key stakeholders, ensure project conformity, and regularly report on project progress. You’ll not only contribute to Assystem's knowledge pool but will also be a driving force in making this massive project a global success.

We are particularly interested in Electrical Engineers / Senior Electrical Engineer with experience working with the European Pressurized Reactor, or if not, nuclear experience would also be great. This isn't a deal breaker, so please don't let that put you off. At the very least, you should have a background in construction, plant layouts or installation and excellent knowledge of electrical equipment (transformers, cable trays, switchgear, invertors, busbar etc..). Proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with BIM and tools like Navisworks is also plus. While experience in the nuclear sector is advantageous, it isn’t mandatory. What’s essential are strong communication abilities, the drive for results, and an unwavering commitment to safety and compliance.

So if you're an Electrical Engineer with experience in construction and looking to make a step up, join the Switchers and power the future, one circuit at a time. Your energy. Our mission. Let's make history!
