GavinHeath is partnering with a client in Greenwood Village, CO looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their team. The role is a Direct Hire position.

Responsibilities :

  • The electrical engineering is responsible for the design and modifications of all electrical in the gas turbine.
  • They must work closely with the mechanical product engineering team while utilizing the expertise of the principal engineers and staff controls engineers and designers.
  • Responsible for supporting development, reliability, value analysis / value engineering, special customer order, sustaining and production support projects.
  • Drive a consistent and repeatable design philosophy to minimize design variations and emphasize a configured product structure.
  • Oversee software and panel development / modification to enhance turbine offerings in accordance with approved special orders and projects.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies that could enhance and / or simplify the microturbine controls, electrical system and performance.
  • Support special order inquiries by developing project estimates (schedule, Client, budget) and deliver those projects according to plan after receipt of customer order.
  • Work closely with other engineering teams to develop new solutions and products to enhance the microturbine product line.
  • Work closely with Operations, Field Service and suppliers to ensure quality and design for manufacture and service of turbine electrical systems.
  • Provide support to Applications and Field Service teams to ensure turbines are installed properly and to quickly resolve field issues.
  • Ensure turbine electrical system meets all relevant codes and standards, including but not limited to NEC, UL, IEEE, CE, ISO

Qualifications :

  • BSME Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum Years of Experience Necessary: 3-10 years
  • Must have expertise in control panel design and layout, and selection of electrical components.
  • Must be knowledgeable in microprocessor-based control systems and methodologies and instrumentation.
  • Gas turbine control and generator control experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of three phase power and utility interconnections is required.
  • Distributed generation and power electronics experience are highly desirable.
  • Must have excellent organizational, supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Must have extreme attention to detail, and desire for perfection.
  • Must have excellent verbal, written, and computer skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in project management
  • Understands business implications of decisions; Displays orientation to profitability.
