Electrical Engineer

Overview:

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join East-West Pipelines Dept.

East-West Pipelines Dept. is responsible for providing an engineering support to 11 crude oil pump stations, 4 Compression Station, 2 Booster Stations at Jizan/Abha Pipelines and ASL Stabilizer.

In addition, leading BI-19 projects that is related to electrical systems and to participate in walkthrough activity for capital projects.

Your primary role is to assess plant power system and substations, and recommend new installations or modifications to improve power system reliability or the replacement of defective/obsolete electrical equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hold a 4 year Bachelor degree in electrical engineering.

  • You will also be Certified as PE in Power field or equivalent, certified as NACE CP (min CP level-II), Project Management Professional (PMP).

  • You should have 13 years of experience, preferably in the oil industry or similar process industry.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide the required technical troubleshooting and assistance to the maintenance staff in resolving power system related problems.

  • Provide capital project design reviews and comments for the whole project cycle (design basis scoping paper, project proposals and detailed design packages).

  • Perform site activities, such as field engineering, support for pre-commissioning, commissioning and startup.

  • Provide all technical support for all field power systems at EWPD facilities and maintain the ETAP models for all plants.

  • Prepare conceptual design packages and engineering budgetary cost estimates.

  • Develop/review power systems designs for new projects and for extensions to existing systems.

  • Review installation, site commissioning and factory acceptance testing for low and high voltage transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers and control gear.

  • Analyze the components, design parameters, installation, operation and maintenance requirements of UPS, DC and battery systems.

  • Advise on calculation study results and act as leader to implement recommendations. Optimize the conceptual power system design based on system studies.

  • Resolve power monitoring system (PMS) software problems.

  • Provide project specifications and demonstrate operations and maintenance requirements for transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers and control gear.

  • Determine the economics of cost and operation when selecting equipment.
