Electrical Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client in Derby in the Rail industry.

The ideal candidate will have at least 8 to 10 years' experience in a similar role to take responsibility of the day-to-day Electrical Design tasks.

\n

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n

\n

\n
• The Electrical Design Engineer will undertake the electrical design concepts, schematic and wiring diagrams, calculations and engineering documents for Rail Rolling stock/ vehicle & carriage projects

\n

• As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide coaching and mentorship to junior Electrical Engineers and check drawings and documents

\n

• Attend customer sites for site surveys and provide support including fault finding

\n

• Liaise with other departments including Mechanical Design to ensure customer requirements are met

\n

Key Attributes:

\n

\n

\n
• Rail industry essential but ideally Rolling Stock/ Carriages/ Rail Vehicle background

\n

• 8 to 10+ years' experience in Electrical Engineering and Design

\n

• Knowledge of Electrical CAD - Ideally SolidEdge or similar.
