Capability Life Cycle Manager (CLCM)
The CLCM is integrated into the System Program Office (SPO) and contracted to deliver through-life asset management of Products being supported (PBS). The CLCM performs asset, sustainment and engineering functions to optimise availability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and minimise risk through life of the PBS. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with Regional Maintenance Centre’s (RMC) to plan maintenance activities and installation of capability upgrades. The CLCM works collaboratively via the SPO with the Design Services Contract (DSC) to plan and execute engineering changes and services. The CLCM delivers functions against the contract scope across the Asset Class Enterprise to support Defence Maritime Capability.
The Opportunity:
KBR is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to work within our CLCM team based out of Garden Island, Sydney. The Electrical Engineer will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) that provides specialist knowledge on electrical systems and provides mentorship to fellow engineers supporting CLCM engineering activities.
The Electrical Engineer will work collaboratively and provide guidance to all stakeholders in support of the delivery of engineering outputs and will hold an Engineering Delegation that will allow them to execute risk based technical advice on sustainment activities in support of the ACSSPO Principal Engineer on the Product Being Supported.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the CLCM SME on matters related to electrical engineering.
- Under general supervision, independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.
- Deliver Electrical Engineering activities to ensure compliance with approved policy, plans and processes.
- Performs work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements, systems integration, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
- Verify Problem Resolution Reports (RPRs) raised for any equipment or spare that does not or may not reflect the Ships Approved baseline.
- Developing tasking statements for design work to be undertaken.
- Reviewing engineering design tasks deliverables and conducting associated technical Design Reviews.
- Promote a safe working environment through the conduct of all activities.
As the ideal candidate you will bring:
Essential:
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineer (or related discipline).
- Eligible to obtain SQEP Engineering Delegation Authority within an Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO). Highly developed organisational and analytical skills.
- Hold, or be eligible for, membership of a recognised professional body and registration as Chartered Engineer.
- A minimum of 7 years related experience, with typical experience ranging from 10-15 years.
Desirable:
- Experience in a Department of Defence design delivery.
- Experience in marine design or maintenance.
All candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance. Only candidates holding a Baseline Clearance or above should apply.
