POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop detailed electrical test and coverage plans for in process product testing.
  • Develop diagnostics to help discover and debug defects in manufacturing.
  • Supporting production line testing, debugging and failure analysis on-site.
  • Review product designs and schematics for testability and manufacturability.
  • Analyze product/system requirements to define functional test and validation plans.
  • Resolve test yield problems by performing root cause analysis, developing and coordinating corrective action/preventive action measures and monitoring improvements.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to design, evaluate, integrate and add test coverage.
  • Develop fixtures used at the production line for testing.
  • Setup and execute tests, and provide insights and analysis via written technical test reports.
  • Perform bring-up and verification of test systems to identify hardware design issues.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of test procedures, qualification test plan and final report.
  • Performs qualification test
  • Interacts with customers and resolves test issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • AS or BS in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience with board level design analysis, analog/digital circuitry and debugging.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in production and/or product validation test development.
  • Experience working with electrical lab equipment and tools (e.g. oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, power supplies and other data acquisition devices).

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK CONTACTS:

This position is in contact with Customers, Sales, Quality Assurance, Production Planning, Purchasing, Material Planning, Vendors, and administrative personnel, manufacturing personnel, and fabrication shop.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:

This position requires lifting of up to 25lbs. Substantial walking and standing for long periods of time. Position will require, stooping, kneeling, sitting, walking and standing for long periods. Additionally, professional will require the use of fingers and wrist. Position will require the ability to read materials including engineering, quality, safety policies and procedures. WORKING CONDITIONS:

Works throughout the premises as needed. Work environment may have noise levels ranging from medium to quiet. The environment for this position varies from clean, climate controlled offices to manufacturing and warehouse areas.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline, five to seven (5-7) years direct design experience, or an equivalent combination of experience plus education. Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in engineering, including relevant experience in transformer or other power-related products

  • Knowledge of transformer design, manufacture, processing, testing, and materials a plus
  • Must have knowledge and be familiar with all industry standards applicable to design and manufacture of electronic components.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and professional business correspondence a must.
  • Must demonstrate ability to use electrical test equipment and mechanical inspection tools- including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and optical comparator.
