The Opportunity
As the facility's Electrical Systems Subject Matter Expert, you'll lead the charge in modernizing and optimizing production systems while ensuring maximum reliability and efficiency. This role offers the perfect blend of hands-on engineering and strategic innovation, with the opportunity to shape the future of food manufacturing technology.
Key Responsibilities
Technology Leadership
- Spearhead the facility's electrical and automation systems strategy
- Build and maintain comprehensive documentation of plant electrical infrastructure
- Drive technological advancement in power, automation, and controls
- Manage mission-critical control systems and networks
Project Management
- Lead electrical aspects of capital improvement projects
- Design and implement automation solutions for process optimization
- Develop and execute system upgrades and modifications
- Coordinate with third-party contractors and vendors
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with R&D and Engineering teams on process improvements
- Champion energy efficiency initiatives (ISO 50.001)
- Drive Industry 4.0 integration across manufacturing operations
- Mentor maintenance and operations staff in automation systems
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years' experience in industrial food manufacturing
- Proven track record in automation and control systems
- Experience with risk assessment and safety systems
Technical Expertise
- Industrial control systems and PLC programming
- Power distribution and electrical system design
- Network infrastructure and industrial communication protocols
- AutoCAD/electrical drawing systems
