Nammo Defense Systems Inc., a defense contractor, manufactures and supports shoulder-fired systems; energetic material solutions such as aircraft emergency escape systems, actuation devices, rocket motors, warheads, medium & large caliber ammunitions, mortar ammunition; and composite solutions including carbon fiber tubes and composite aero-structures.
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the role of Electrical Engineer in the Test Department.

Position Summary:
The Electrical Engineer in the Test Department is responsible for designing, developing and executing test methods and services for obtaining accurate data and analysis using independent judgment, discretion and initiative. Testing includes, but not limited to, hazardous operations, ballistic, pyrotechnic, DOT, ordnance, propellant, explosives and insensitive munitions.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Oversee test plans, equipment & hardware preparation, test setup, execution, and reporting while ensuring customer objectives are met.
• Recommend test set up and equipment to project engineers for project planning.
• Verify correct instrumentation and test set up prior to conducting test.
• Design and direct the fabrication of test fixtures, related hardware and control equipment.
• Provide detailed instructions to and oversee Technicians’ efforts.
• Obtain, reduce and analyze data.
• Present data orally or in written form to internal or external customers.
• Apply technology for maximizing test objectives and data acquisition.
• Derive new test methodology for the increase of company capabilities and business.
• Interact closely with Project Engineers, Program Managers, R&D, Safety and others in a team environment.
• Investigate and solve technical problems, i.e., root cause analysis, standard scientific method, etc.
• Submit proposals (cost, labor, concept, etc) and/or support other organizations in proposal submittal.
Required Experience & Skills:
• 4-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field from an accredited university strongly .
• Minimum 5+ years in Defense/Aerospace industry .
• Proficient with data acquisition hardware including signal conditioning amplifiers and high-speed voltage measurement systems.
• Proficient with multiple types of measurement sensors including strain gauge and piezo style sensors
• Proficient with various types of test equipment including oscilloscopes, function generators, and power supplies.
• Ability to implement best practices in data acquisition measurement principles
• Proficient with solid modeling or CAD packages.
• Ability to work effectively with the cross-functional NDS Mesa Team.
• Highly organized.
• Excellent communicator.
